Pastor Evelyn Joshua has left no one in doubt of her capability to take up both the physical and spiritual responsibilities of stirring Synagogue Church of Nations (SCOAN) Nigeria, which belonged to her late husband Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua.

The Nigerian pastor popularly known as T.B Joshua died June 5, 2021, leaving his church in the hands of his wife Evelyn.

During his lifetime T.B. Joshua’s Church was known for its philanthropy and humanitarian activities. He was singled out among Nigerian clergymen who were so close to the grassroots using the Gospel to reach out to the downtrodden.

It now appears the Church under his wife is ready to keep that tradition, and on January 30, 2022, the world bore witness to this practice when a 63-year-old woman from Ekiti State, southwest Nigeria, testified to Mrs. Joshua building her a house as a retirement gift.

Mrs. Victoria and her family tell the tale of how her retirement received an unimaginable blessing

The woman, Victoria, was quoted by the Official Facebook page of T.B. Joshua Ministries to have said during her testimony that she had come to The SCOAN many years ago with numerous problems and issues. She was accepted wholeheartedly by Prophet T.B. Joshua. As the years passed, she had continued to enjoy the mentorship of Prophet T.B. Joshua as such, was unsure of the future following the man of God’s death.

A while afterward, Victoria decided she wanted to return to her village. She then approached Pastor Evelyn Joshua informing her of the decision.

Moved with compassion the pastor promised to go with Victoria to the village. Thinking it was an impossibility, Victoria marveled at the unexpected offer from Mrs. Joshua.

Mrs. Joshua said she would be sending people to go build Victoria a house in the village.

Only a few months later, the house is now standing on a decent plot of land in Iyin-Ekiti in Ekiti State.

T.B. Joshua Ministries posted that amazed at this incredible gesture, Victoria thought it necessary to testify to the world about the blessing she has received. This she did on the last Sunday in Ikotun, a suburb of Lagos.

Victoria’s younger sister, who accompanied her to testify also recalled how a touch from Prophet T.B. Joshua about five years ago had ended her 17 years of barrenness.

“Nothing is impossible for God; let’s have faith in him,” said Wahab Victoria’s relative.

Spontaneous reactions across the world greeted Pastor Evelyn Joshua’s decision to build to the old woman a retirement gift. One thing that resonates through the comments of people who reacted is that the legacy of Prophet T.B. Joshua has not died after all, as the action of the leadership at SCOAN has shown that the widow has comfortably stepped into the shoes of her husband.

Etina Mwamz, who lives at Mzuzu in Karonga, Malawi had this to say: “Wow thank you Mummy for continuing with the works of Charity. We give glory to God.”

Prophet Emmanuel Salim from Mufulira, Zambia said: “The mission, journey, and vision of changing lives, nations and the world continue. Our Father’s legacy lives on, God bless you, mum.”

Daphne Joy Murray who is from Freetown in Sierra Leone is excited that the widow has kept the ministry her husband left behind.

“Mummy Joshua may the good Lord continue to strengthen you day by day from where our daddy stopped and more of God’s grace and his divine presence,” Joy Murray said.

In Port Harcourt, Nigeria Antiha Sunday said that Evelyn Joshua cannot be different from her godly husband, as the two are people with humanity in the service of God.

“I thank God for your life, the Deborah of our time! Victoria, thank you too for showing gratitude,” said Sunday.
